The Smile Cookie Campaign is back in action this week (May 1-7) in support of the Airdrie Health Foundation.

Tim Hortons across the country puts on the Smile Cookie Campaign to help support local charities. In and around Airdrie, this with be the third year they are supporting the Airdrie Health Foundation.

All Tim Hortons locations in Airdrie, Crossfield and Cross Iron Mills Mall will go towards the foundation.

In the past two years, much-needed funds were raised for the foundation:

2021: Around $45,000

2022: Around $49,000

Michelle Bates, the Executive Director of the Airdrie Health Foundation is thrilled to see this campaign back in action.

"It's a great fundraiser that brings in a lot of money that we can then use to enhance health care in Airdrie."

First, the foundation will see if there is a specific avenue the Tim Hortons owners would like to donate, if not, some of the funds raised will go towards programs they are currently supporting like the Pregnancy and Beyond Program, an online course for nurses for the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course and purchasing new equipment, the Slit Lamp and the Tono-Pen.

Before the funds were being donated locally in Airdrie to the Health Foundation, they were being donated to the Calgary Health Trust. Bates is happy to see the funds stay local.
