Airdrie RCMP is now ending the shelter-in-place that was issued earlier this evening for residents at Ravenskirk RD SE, Ravenskirk Close SE, Ravenskirk Heath SE, and Ravenswynd Rise SE in Airdrie. One subject is in custody and there is no further risk to the public.
Earlier on Monday, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Airdrie RCMP responded to a report of a male acting in an erratic manner and having committed assaults at a residence where there were firearms present.
"The Alberta RCMP Emergency Response Team attended the scene to assist and the male was taken into police custody where he remains," a police news release stated.
