On Friday evening, Stettler RCMP confirmed they had recovered the body of an Airdrie teenager who had been presumed drowned.
On August 29, Stettler RCMP received a report of a possible drowning on Buffalo Lake (Central Alberta) near Ol’ MacDonalds Resort. The individual was identified as a 17-year-old Airdrie resident.
According to police, emergency crews including Stettler Fire, STARS air ambulance, and an RCMP drone responded however, were unable to locate the victim who is believed to still be in the water.
