A Family and Community Social Needs Assessment is being completed by Rocky View County (RVC) to better understand the social needs of its population, including young people.

The data gathered will be utilized in the County's funding decisions for Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), which aims to improve everyone's quality of life in the community. The evaluation is being carried out by Moorhouse & Associates.

There are two surveys being conducted concurrently:

  • For youth in the community

  • For residents in general

Since youth and adults have distinct perceptions, points of view, and perspectives on social issues when analyzing their own particular needs and objectives, it is crucial to collect feedback through independent surveys. The youth survey's data will help identify any County shortages for services, programs, and support that are crucial from a young person's perspective, as opposed to an adult's.

The surveys are accessible through September 15, 2022, which is a Thursday.

As a follow-up to the survey, the Project Consultant Team will hold three working sessions. As further information about these events becomes available, it will be given.
