Airdrie Rural RCMP has received numerous complaints of large-scale fraud operations from victims throughout Canada.

These complaints started on April 11 and ran all the way through August 9.

These investigations have shown that the victims are buying farm equipment online for low prices, but once money has been sent, neither the original seller nor the freight company engaged to convey the farm equipment can be reached.

The RCMP wants to urge people to exercise caution when making purchases online and to thoroughly investigate all businesses, especially those that initially appear to be trustworthy.

Anyone with information regarding this occurrence can contact the Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7267.
