Cochrane RCMP and EMS are on the scene of a serious, two-vehicle motor vehicle collision on Highway 1 between Ridge Road and Hermitage Road (Range Road 50) Tuesday evening. 

Police report the collision was between a semi hauling a trailer and an SUV. 

Westbound traffic is being diverted around the collision scene for the next few hours. 

The winter weather conditions are impacting highway conditions.

The RCMP Collision Reconstructionist is also at the scene.
