According to the city of Airdrie, residents can expect that their property tax notices will be mailed out by May 27th.

However, the Alberta Land Titles office is three to four months behind in processing title transfers; so if a property was purchased after February 2022, the city will most likely not receive a change of ownership information before tax notices are mailed out at the end of this week.

The city also reminds residents that even if one does not receive a tax notice, this does not exempt one from late payment penalties. A five per cent penalty will be applied to outstanding balances on July 1.

For the owners of condos, a separate Taxation Notice for parking stalls and/or storage units will be mailed out at the end of this month or at the beginning of June.
