In an overwhelming outpouring of support for the family of Airdrie paramedic, Jayme Erickson, whose 17-year-old daughter Montana died as a result of a horrific car collision earlier this month, supporters have raised around $127,000.

The donations will help both parents deal with the devastating death of a dearly loved daughter by relieving financial pressure.

Erickson who is a local paramedic responded unknowingly to her own daughter's call and tried to save her life, she only found out later that the patient she had been working on and sent to the hospital was her own child.

Yesterday (November 29) was the Memorial for Montana. Ryan Middleton a friend of the Erickson family created a slideshow that was shown at the memorial.
