Plans for the new Bearspaw Sportsplex were unveiled on Monday, August 29 at the "Swing into Action" golf tournament, held at the Bearspaw Golf & Country Club.

The new, indoor multi-use facility will provide a sports surface that can accommodate a variety of activities. It will be integrated with the existing Bearspaw Lifestyle centre, as well as Bearspaw School, making the site a true community hub for local residents. The new centre will operate on a year-round basis, proving an ice surface in the winter and a dry surface the rest of the year for sports like soccer. It may also be utilized for trade shows.
