Do you plan on attending Alberta Country Thunder this weekend (August 18-20)? You will get to see a bunch of local talent.

The three-day festival kicks off Friday at Fort Calgary and will last until Sunday. Some of the headliners include John Pardi, Tim McGraw, and Keith Urban.

When it comes to local talent a few different artists will get to share the main stage with each other. Alberta Country Thunder just announced this Tuesday that Kyle McKearney gets to kick off the festival on the main stage Friday at 2:30 p.m.

Flaysher, another local band, will get to play twice at Country Thunder this Saturday, once on the secondary stage at 6:30 p.m. shortly after they play on the main stage at 1 p.m.

This year, Airdronian Brandon Lorenzo will not be performing on either stage. However, on Thursday night (August 17), he will be at Ranchmans Bar for the kickoff party for the festival performing live.

This year is the first time either Flaysher or  McKearney have played on the main stage at Country Thunder.

Both Lorenzo and Flaysher have played on the secondary stage in previous years.
