Doug Richards, known for his great rodeo stock, says someone is repeatedly cutting down his wire fencing allowing his livestock to escape. The latest act of vandalism came over the August long weekend when culprits cut wire on 125 of his fence posts located on grazing land the family has leased from the province since 1930. While he's reported it to the RCMP, as of August 26, he hasn't yet seen officers out to investigate. Richards said the trouble began a few years back when he was asked to adjust his fence, which had been that way for decades, to  match the property line so he'd be allowed to continue his lease. Moving the fence blocked access to a cabin, which burnt down 15 years ago but still attracts campers. Richards said he's been told by the RCMP they need to catch the culprit in the act.
