Airdrie band Flaysher will be performing at Alberta Country Thunder in Calgary on August 18 - 20; and this time on the main stage.

The band will start the festivities Saturday at 1 p.m. before Shane Profitt, Chase Matthews, Jo Dee Messina, Kip Moore and Tim McGraw take the stage later on in the day.

Just like last year they will play on the secondary stage as well Saturday at 6:30 p.m. According to Brad Flaysher, they won the Ranchman's Rising Star Contest which is why they get to play on the mainstage.

"Country Thunder is a huge festival [and] we've been wanting to try to get to the point where we could play on the big stage for a long time and now we have that opportunity. It's fresh and exciting."

Playing on the secondary stage last year and being able to see major acts like Hardy and Morgan Wallen, they hope to bring the same energy this year.

"It's really exciting to be able to have our turn this time around," explained Ryan Flaysher.

This is the first time for the to perform on a stage this size, they do hope this is only the start.

"There's a lot of pressure, we want to impress, and we want to make our fans proud. There's a lot of people that have been supporting us for a very long time and we're sharing that experience with them," stated Brad.

Flaysher does plan on releasing new music in the future so make sure you check them out and keep up to date with what they are up to.

The band has had a busy summer so far playing plenty of shows during the stampede and having shows booked up all the way into September already.
