November is Family Violence Prevention Month and the P.E.A.C.E. Committee, a group of community agencies striving to end bullying and family violence in North Rocky View, will host a 'Light The Night' event next week.

Kaitlin Maguire with Community Links says the evening is all about creating awareness.

Members of the Airdrie RCMP and the City's Victim Services will attend the free event, running from 7 to 9 pm., November 7. Everyone's welcome to take part in the 'Light the Night' vigil walk and presentations. If the weather cooperates, the meeting place is at the front of Community Links in Airdrie at 125 Main Street. Displays will be set up and there'll be refreshments available. Please wear purple to honour Family Violence Prevention Month.
