Construction will soon begin on the washroom and concession building at Chinook Winds Regional Park. Archie Lang, manager of parks and public works for the City, told those at the Council meeting on Monday, November 7, the foundation has already been laid for the building, and the City has partnered with the Church of Latter Day Saints on the project. Lang says City staff sat down with the local church and decided to team up on something that would be a big benefit to the community.

The Church of Latter Day Saints originally approached council on Sept. 6 and offered to help the City with a community project. By partnering with the church, Lang said the City could save up to $100,000. Construction is slated to begin November 19.
