During the latest Airdrie City Council Meeting council voted in favour (6-1) to make temporary changes from 2020 regarding land-use bylaws permanent.

The Changes included allowing commercial businesses to operate outdoor patios.

William Czaban, senior planner at the City of Airdrie gave a presentation to City Council and stated these changes becoming permanent would include updates to standards for food truck operators and mobile vendors.

He also emphasized these changes would clear up expectations for Airdronians that own businesses and promote economic recovery within the community.

Permission will still be required from mobile vendors to access public or private properties to park their vehicles.

The changes would also provide regulations for clarity, rules on residential storage, and arrangements within rights-of-ways owned by the city.
