Henrik Karlsson makes a save on a deflection by the Sabres' Luke Adam.

The Calgary Flames took on the Sabres on November 4 in Buffalo, and thanks to one of their best efforts of the season, the Sabres got the win they were desperate to get. Backup Jonas Enroth made 29 saves, and Buffalo turned up the offensive pressure to post a 2-1 win.

Despite often being left out to dry by his team, the Flames' Henrik Karlsson made more than a couple of clutch saves in the loss. In fact, if he wasn't so on the ball, the Sabres could have had six or seven goals. He faced 37 shots in the first two periods alone and a total of 42 for the game.

The Flames next play the Avalanche in Denver on Sunday, November 6, starting at 6 pm.
