Canada suffers their second overtime loss of the U18 Worlds, this time to Finland in the quarterfinals. 

Canada had a rough start to the tournament, losing to the U.S with a score of 8-3. They went on to beat Germany in their second match 8-3 but ended up losing their third and final round-robin match to Czechia 6-5 in overtime. This set them up with a quarterfinals match against Finland. 

After a very entertaining first period, the score was tied 2-2. Going into the second period, Canada found themselves up two goals before Finland was able to put one in the back of the net to make it 4-3 going into the third. 

In the third period, Canada saw themselves regain their two-goal lead before Finland was able to score two unanswered goals to make it 5-5 going into overtime. 

In overtime, Finland scored a mere 28 seconds into overtime. Joakim Kemell For Finland put the game-winning goal behind the Canadian goalie to win the game 6-5.
