A local woman was arrested after driving her car into a closed garage on Sunday, November 13.

At approximately 8:03 pm Airdrie RCMP responded to a 911 call that a motor vehicle had driven into a residence in the Stonegate subdivision area of Airdrie. Witnesses reported the vehicle, a 2009 Pontiac Vibe, had driven in to the front garage doors of a semi-detached residence, severely damaging both sides.

Police arrested and charged the driver of the vehicle, a 48 year old female from Airdrie, with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
