Jade Iginla, the daughter of Hockey Hall of Fame and Calgary Flames alumnus, Jarome Iginla will now miss the U18 world championship.

Hockey Canada announced today Iginla will miss the tournament due to an upper-body injury sustained during a pre-tournament game against the United States.

Iginla was among 22 other female players who will be donning Canada's maple leaf in Madison and Middleton, Wisconsin.

Iginla had 18 goals and 10 assists in 22 games with Hockey Academy Kelowna’s under-18 team this season. She has committed to Brown University.
