Calgary police have informed the public that the man was arrested.
Cyril Douglas Apetagon, 39, who was previously released into the Calgary area in April 2022 was wanted on warrants in relation to breach of court-ordered conditions.
"Apetagon was previously being monitored by our High-Risk Offender Program when he failed to attend his regularly scheduled check-in appointment. Officers have since been unable to locate Apetagon," stated a post by the Calgary police on their social media page.
Apetagon is described as 5’10” tall, 175 pounds, with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes.
His previous convictions include breaking and entering to commit sexual assault, accessing child pornography, sexual assault, aggravated assault, and taking a motor vehicle without consent. He also has a history of sexually assaulting underage males and females who are both known and unknown to him.
