The Heritage Junior B Hockey League season is right around the corner, but the teams have yet to be set. Friday, September 2, the Airdrie Thunder get their try-outs underway. Registration starts at 6:30 pm at Ron Ebbison Arena and the players hit the ice in the Gold Arena at 8. The cost to register is $75 per player. For more information check out AirdrieThunder.ca.

The Thunder's rivals, the Cochrane Generals, get their try-outs underway one week later, on September 10 and 11 at the Spray Lakes Arena. Registration starts at 11 am, with ice times going from 1 to 3 pm, and 7 to 10 pm both days. Each player must pay the $75 registration fee. Check out CochraneGenerals.com for more details.
