With what happened last weekend in Alberta, the large storm, some people are wondering, what the weather looks like heading into this weekend.

Danielle Desjardians, a Meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada says Friday’s weather looks similar to the weather we can expect throughout the weekend.

“Tomorrow, it does look like there's a small chance of showers in the afternoon, and a little cooler with a high of around 16 degrees.”

Desjardians says the weather this weekend will be sunny, as expected in early August.

“The weekend and beyond, it looks like we get into more of a drier, sunnier period. We return to more seasonable and even above seasonable temperatures for the rest of the weekend and the first half of next week.”

According to Desjardians, Saturday looks like a high of 22 degrees and Sunday will see around 26 degrees.

“Then Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday it looks like we will reach the upper 20 ‘s even into the 30-degree range by mid-week.”

So far, Airdrie is not expecting any big storms to roll through the area this weekend.
