The Calgary Flames had their first two games of the pre-season over the weekend, both split-squad games against the Vancouver Canucks, winning both.

In the game in Vancouver, the Flames were able to sneak away with a 3-2 win.

The goals were scored by Ben Jones, Mitch McLain and the game-winner by Michael Stone in overtime. Flames goalie prospect Dustin Wolf made 26 saves on 28 shots.

In the game in Calgary, where the Flames had a more dominating performance, they won 4-0.

Jonathan Huberdeau scored his first goal in a Flames jersey, the other three goals were scored by Blake Coleman, Cody Eakin, and Brett Sutter. Two flames goalies go to play in this game for a combined shutout. Daniel Vladar made 15 saves while Oscar Dansk made four.

Up next on the preseason schedule is a game against the Seattle Krakken Tuesday night.
