RCMP are investigating a rollover on Highway 2A near Crossfield that killed one man.

At 7:35 pm on Wednesday, November 23, Airdrie Rural RCMP received a report of debris on Highway 2A, approximately three kilometers north of Crossfield. When they arrived, they found a 1997 green Ford Expedition had hit the guard rail on the east side of the road, crossed both lanes into the west ditch, and rolled several times. The driver, 28-year-old Ian James LIESEMER, of Didsbury, had been ejected and was found approximately 20 meters from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor but police don't think Liesemer was using his seatbelt at the time of the accident. They'd like to remind everyone of the importance of buckling up.

Anyone having information about this accident is asked to phone the Airdrie RCMP Detachment or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
