A family from the Northwest Calgary community of Thorncliffe has been reunited with their dog after he was stolen during a break-and-enter on Monday, November 21.

According to Calgary Police, sometime between the morning and afternoon hours on Monday, a suspect or suspects forcefully entered a home on the 100 block of 59 Avenue N.W., and as a result, the household dog, King, a St. Bernard and Mastiff mix, was reported missing from the residence.

"We would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in helping us advance the investigation," police stated.

The investigation into the break-and-enter is ongoing.
