After a month-long investigation that began in May 2022, two individuals were arrested after police executed a search warrant on June 1 in the Town of Olds and at a residence in Mountainview County, east of Didsbury. 

Police found significant quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, hydroxybutanoic acid (GHB), as well as various pills believed to include Oxycontin, Hydromorphone, and Ecstasy (MDMA). $1200 of money was also found.

36-year-old Teresa Klein of Olds was charged with possession of methamphetamine and cocaine for the intent of trafficking the drugs, as well as being in possession of unstamped tobacco. Klein was released from custody on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on July 4, 2022, in Didsbury.

The other individual, 40-year-old Matthew Nation of Mountview County was charged with possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl for the intent of trafficking the drugs, as well as a failure to comply with a release order. He was held for a Judicial Interim release hearing and was subsequently remanded. Nation will appear in Provincial Court on June 20, 2022, in Didsbury.
