Didsbury RCMP is advising the public that human remains have been located, which are believed to be those of Ryan Sutherland (44) of Didsbury. On April 3, 2022, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Search and Rescue located the remains in a wooded area.
The circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation by Southern Alberta Serious Crimes Branch.
An autopsy has been ordered by the office of the Chief Medical Examiner and is scheduled for April 6, 2022.
An update will be provided when further details can be released.
"Our sincerest condolences go out to Ryan’s family and friends," read the RCMP Didsbury statement.
Previously, Didsbury RCMP reported that 44-year-old Ryan Sutherland was last seen on Monday, March 28, 2022, at around 12 P.M and they were asking the public for assistance in finding him.
