Cochrane RCMP has laid further charges with regards to the abduction of Leonine O’Driscoll-Zak and Wyatt O’Driscoll-Zak that occurred in March 2021.

Jacqueline O’Driscoll of Rocky View County, Alberta., has been charged with abduction in contravention of the custody order. She will be appearing in Cochrane Provincial Court on July 26, 2022. 72-year-old Michael O’Driscoll of Cochrane, Alberta has been charged with public mischief. Michael will be appearing in Cochrane Provincial Court on July 26, 2022.

On March 13, 2021, Cochrane RCMP responded to the report of two female missing children and two female missing adults. 

Five-year-old Leonine O’Driscoll-Zak and two-year-old Wyatt O’Driscoll-Zak were believed to be in the company of their grandmother, 68-year-old Therese O’Driscoll and their aunt Alison O’Driscoll (38), all from the area of Cochrane.

In April 2021, The Alberta RCMP Serious Crimes Branch advised the public that both Leonine O’Driscoll-Zak and Wyatt O’Driscoll-Zak were located safe in the Columbia Valley, B.C. The children were being cared for by Children Services. Alison O’Driscoll and Therese O’Driscoll were then charged among other things with forcible confinement, abduction of a person under the age of 14, as well as abduction in contravention of a parenting order.
