Waste and recycling carts have started to appear at homes in Cochrane recently, but some residents have unanswered questions concerning the new service officially beginning Sept. 1.  Like, why glass isn't included on the list of acceptable products in the new blue bins.  Mayor Truper McBride explains there has to be a market for recyclable materials.

McBride says the City of Calgary, the Town of Cochrane and Rocky View County are all participating in studies to find a permanent use for glass in road construction as either a base material or an asphalt blend.
