Effective September 1, the Canadian Canola Growers Association has begun accepting applications for the 2011 fall cash advance program. General Manager Rick White says the Post-Harvest Advance Payment Program was established to help farmers generate cash flow from their stored crops, while giving them the flexibility to time the marketing of their grain sales. Under the program, farmers are eligible for a cash advance of up to $400,000--$100,000 interest-free and the remaining $300,000 at competitive interest rates. Post harvest advances for this production period are available from the Canadian Canola Growers Association until March 1, 2012. Producers can apply for a Post Harvest Advance on-line at www.ccga.ca. For those who prefer to complete their application with the assistance of a customer service representative, they can contact the association at 1-866-745-2256 to complete a telephone application.
