The AHL (American Hockey League) affiliate of the Calgary Flames, the Calgary Wranglers continues to be the best team in the league.

Right now, the Wranglers sit alone with a record of 34 wins, 11 losses and two overtime losses totalling 70 points. The team right behind them in the standings is the Toronto Marlies who have a record of 32 wins, 12 losses, two overtime losses and one shootout loss.

The Wranglers had a game last night against the Abbotsford Canucks and won 4-1. Wranglers' goals were scored by Radim Zohorna, Mitch McLain, Adam Klapka and Walker Duehr.

Dustin Wolf continues to be the Flames' top goalie prospect who is having an amazing year with 28 wins, six losses, and one shootout loss. He also has four shutouts on the year with a 2.12 goals-against average with a .931 save percentage.

Matthew Phillips leads the team with 51 points, 25 goals and 26 assists.

The Wranglers do have a game tonight as they kick off their five-game homestand. Tonight's game is against the Abbotsford Canucks while they have another game on Friday when the Colorado Eagles roll into town.
