The Calgary Vipers Baseball team has shut down operations and closed down its website, leaving fans and employees wondering about the team's future. 

Some players and employees who received final pay cheques had those cheques bounce. Team president, John Conrad, resigned on September 7th, saying he couldn't continue with the team without the financial support of the Gidney family, owners of the team:

Manager Graham Dobson sent a letter to employees saying it was his understanding that the Gidney family is working to sort out all financial transactions, including payroll.
