A sizable amount of stolen property was found after the Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (SAD CRU) executed a search warrant at a rural property east of Calgary on August 24.
Police recovered six Dodge Ram pick-ups, two skid steers, two flat deck trailers, and three pieces of heavy-duty machinery. According to Mounties, RCMP officers received information that a stolen Ford F-350 was at a property on Range Road 284. A search warrant was granted and as a result, four people were arrested.
45-year-old Cass Gustavson and Tammy Dohms, as well as 49-year-old Ashley Buckley, all residents of Calgary, as well as 51-year-old Samuel Leighton of Brooks, have all been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000. After Judicial Interim Release Hearings, Dohms was released for Alberta Court of Justice in Airdrie on September 21
Buckley and Leighton were remanded until today for court in Canmore and Brooks respectively. Gustavson was remanded until August 31 for court in Airdrie.
