Staging for the parade with be conducted along Edmonton Trail, at the Town and Country and Tri-School area. According to the parade website, more detailed information on parade staging will be sent out to those registered at the end of June.

Over the past couple of years, the committee has had to get creative on ways to keep the Canada Day spirit alive while navigating a roller coaster of provincial COVID health regulations. In 2020 and 2021, in place of a parade, a city-wide home decorating contest was held with great success.

Fast forward to 2022, with nearly all public health guidelines across the province now lifted, the Airdrie Canada Day Parade commences!

The parade route is set to be familiar to those who've participated in the event in the past, going down Main Street and up Allan Street. A more detailed map of the parade route will be released in the near future so those watching can plan the best spot to sit accordingly!

The parade is on July 1 starting at 10 am. Roads along the parade route will close at 9 am.
