A made-in-Alberta film is topping the Netflix charts.

"Let Him Go" starring Kevin Costner was the number one Netflix film in Canada yesterday (Jan. 5).

The film tells the story of a retired couple who recently lost their son and must rescue their young grandson from his abusive stepfather.

Scenes were shot in High River in April and May of 2019, and the movie was released in November 2020.

Let Him Go arrived on Netflix Canada on New Year's Eve and has been climbing the charts in the last few days.
