Airdronian Jake Neighbours, a prospect for the St. Louis Blues, said on Monday that he would not participate in the summer's rescheduled World Juniors.

The reason for this, according to Neighbours, is because of how long his season was and how his body is feeling right now.

The 20-year-old winger recorded one goal and two points in nine games with the Blues this season in addition to 17 goals and 45 points in 30 games with the Edmonton Oil Kings.

Before the 2022 tournament was called off in late December due to COVID-19, Neighbours had two assists in two games for Team Canada.
