This past weekend was an important one for the Airdrie Xtreme as they now hold the top spot of the entire league and have clinched first place in the south division.

The Xtreme had three games back-to-back on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, winning them all. Friday's game against the Lloydminster Roswell Bobcats was a blowout as the Airdrie won 8-0.

On Saturday, the Airdrie Xtreme played the first-place team in the north division; at the time of the game, both the Xtreme and the St. Albert Gregg Distributors Sabres were tied for first place in the league with 26-1 records. The Xtreme proved why they are the best team in the league as they cruised to a 9-1 win.

Sunday's game looked about the same, as the Xtreme won 7-1 against Edmonton's Maple Leaf Athletic Club.

The Xtreme only have five games left of the regular season, one being this Saturday against the Calgary Flames at the Ron Ebbesen Arena at 4:30 pm.

Riley Boychuk continues to be the team leader in points for the Airdrie Xtreme with 59, while Isaac Davies leads the team in goals with 25 goals.
