The Airdrie Techmation Thunder knocked off the Mountain View Colts in game six of their series to win it four games to two.

The Thunder finished off the series last night beating the Colts at the Didsbury Memorial Complex Arena by a score of 4-1.

Zach Couling scored in the first period to take the early 1-0 lead which lasted for the rest of the period.

Early in the second period, the Thunder kept the momentum going and took a 2-0 lead thanks to Justin LeGrandeur. Airdrie scored another in the frame making it 3-0, the goal was scored by Tyson Sandhu.

Late in the third period, the Colts Haiden Parks was able to get on the board to make the score 3-1 but that's as close as they would get. Dylan Westlake put home an empty net goal to seal the game 4-1.

The Thunder now await the series winner of the Sylvan Lake Wranglers and the Rocky Rams. Currently, the Wranglers have a 3-2 series lead, game six of the series is tomorrow night.

In the South Division of the Heritage Junior Hockey League, the Okotoks Carstar Bisons await the winner of Medicine Hat Tigers and the Cochrane Generals series which is tied up 2-2.

The Thunder's next playoff series will start next week.
