By the end of December, the 2014 Airdrie Alberta Summer Games bid will be submitted to the province's Sport Recreation Parks and Wildlife Foundation. An evaluation committee will review each bid submission and shortlist several communities for a site visit in April.

Kim Harris, in Community Development with the City, says right now the committee is putting in a lot of time getting our bid submission ready.

The Alberta Summer Games is a multi-sport festival held every two years for athletes between the ages of 11 and 17. The games attract close to 3,000 athletes, coaches and officials from around the province.
