RCMP has confirmed that on Thursday, May 5th, at approximately 1:41 P.M. they were called to a collision involving a 75-year-old who was on a bicycle.

The cyclist was heading Southbound on Veterans Boulevard and was struck by a vehicle heading Eastbound. RCMP said that cyclist may have been cutting across the train tracks when he was struck. The investigation into the collision is ongoing.

Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene and found the 75-year-old unresponsive but breathing. He was transported to the hospital, though it is not known at this time what his current condition is. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
