In the article Airdrie is described as a bedroom community that wakes up to its potential.
“In a province known for wild swings in fortune tied to the price of fossil fuels, one small city has been trucking steadily for decades. Just 30 minutes north of Calgary and a few minutes away from its well-connected airport, things are looking sunny in Airdrie.”
Airdrie has seen a population increase of 20 per cent since 2016, now sitting around 77 thousand people.
The article also highlighted how Airdrie is building an 5,000-square-foot multi-use facility expected to open in 2025.
