Airdrie City Council is proclaiming May 29 through June 4 as Tourism Week and June 6 to June 12 as Seniors' Week 

Shauna Quinn, Tourism Development Officer for the City of Airdrie presented to City Council with why tourism is so important to Airdrie. 

“Tourism has always served as an economic platform offering a broad and diverse effect on our economy supporting jobs, driving infrastructure, propelling growth, and revitalizing communities. We've aligned our proclamation today with the Tourism Industry Association of Canada.” 

City Council voted unanimously to proclaim May 29 through June 4 as tourism week in AIrdrie. 

City Council was also asked to Proclaim June 6 to the 12 as Seniors’ Week to honour and recognize everything seniors have contributed to making families, communities, and the province stronger. 

Council also voted unanimously to make June 6 to the 12 Seniors’ Week
