The Airdrie Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Crossfield Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting their annual Rural Women in Business (RWB) Conference on June 22.

The theme this year: resilience.

According to Marilyne Aalhus, the Executive Director for the Airdrie Chamber of Commerce, the conference is for employees and business leaders who want to communicate, learn, and network with one another.

Not sure what to expect at the RWB? Aalhus says "There will be a lot of laughs... and maybe a few cries" as the goal of the conference is to champion women in business whose last couple of years have been a roller coaster as they navigated through COVID and its many changes along the way.

It's a full-day experience starting at 9 am and ending at 3 pm with food and bevvies in between.

Those attending the RWB get to choose 2 of the 6 workshops available. CLICK HERE to see the full workshop descriptions. The main keynote speaker of the afternoon will be Leslie Horton from Global News.

Do you want to attend the 2022 RWB Conference? Tickets can be purchased by CLICKING HERE. The deadline to buy your tickets is June 17.

For the second year, because of COVID and the financial challenges its pressed onto people, there is also a pay-it-forward application where you can apply for yourself or put it towards someone else and that person can get into the conference free of charge.

The Rural Women in Business Conference will be held at the Crossfield and District Community Hall.
