Every Sunday in May is now Live Music Sunday at Krave Steakhouse in Airdrie.

Steve Jevne, who organizes the Open Mic nights every Monday at Bambinos, worked with the owners of Krave to provide a unique acoustic experience in Airdrie.

Jevne kickstarted the month on May 1st, paving the way for more artists including Alex Mohtadi; AKA Xander Nils.

Mohtadi grew up with a wide range of musical influences from The Beatles to Blue Rodeo and Guns and Roses.

It's hard for the young musician to classify his current style of music as he's adopted rhythms and sounds from many genres.

One thing is for certain, he loves to write and perform, putting his soul and passion into every song.

Alex came down to talk about his upcoming gig at Krave and perform one of his favourite original pieces, "Whiskey Woman".

Live Music Sunday takes stage again on May 8th, with open mic starting at 3pm and Alex Mohtadi stepping up at 6pm.
