The Alberta Beef Producers are looking for nominations for delegates to run in the 2016 fall elections.

The organization says its first priority is making sure they speak and work as effectively as possible on behalf of the industry, and its effectiveness is influenced by the quality of the beef producers who become leaders.

Producers who are elected as Alberta Beef Producer delegates provide leadership to the organization and a critical connection to grassroots producers.

Delegates are the producer's connection to the organization, hearing ideas, concerns and issues, and bring them forward to be addressed.

Anyone interested in becoming a delegate should take a moment to review the responsibilities which are outlined on the Alberta Beef Producers website.

Nomination forms can also be found there, through local delegate representatives, or by calling the office.

Nominations must be submitted to the ABP office by August 31, 2016.
