The 2017 Livestock Care Conference is cioming up this week.

The conference will be held March 21 and 22 in Leduc.

Among the speakers is Dr. Bernie Rollin on Societal Expectations on Animal Welfare in the 21st Century

This Harley-riding, competition-level weightlifter and bioethicist created the first course on ethical issues in animal agriculture and is a leader in industry self-regulation.

And Krista Stauffer, a first generation dairy farmer.

She and her husband have worked their way from the ground up and now own and operate a 150-cow dairy in Washington state.

She started her blog, The Farmer's Wifee, to help advocate for farmers around the world.
